President Sleiman cancels the dialogue session scheduled for January 7, 2013.
05/01/2013

President Sleiman commended the steps undertaken towards a reconciliation in the Mountain, namely in the village of Brih. As he praised the efforts made in this regard in presence of his guests at the Presidential Palace, the President considered that the reconciliation meeting constitutes the last round of the reconciliation protocol, organized in collaboration with a joint committee of residents and inhabitants returning to their villages, in the presence of Head of the National Struggle Front, Walid Jumblatt, who exerted continuous efforts to accomplish that.
President Sleiman considered that this achievement  turns the last page of the return of the displaced to their villages and starts a new chapter – probably the most important one - of national unity and coexistence. This will indeed have a positive impact on the consolidation of unity and understanding between the residents of the Mountain, and therefore, between all Lebanese citizens.
On a different level, President Sleiman notified the members of the National Dialogue body of his decision to cancel the National Dialogue session scheduled next Monday at the Presidential Palace.
