The Presidency Press Office denies what MP Melhem Khalaf said through Al-Jadeed interview yesterday night.

Khalaf had claimed that the President of the Republic, General Michel Aoun, intervened to suspend the work of the President of the State Council’s decision, which considered that the circulars issued by the Banque du Liban violate the laws.

The Presidency Press Office confirms that MP Khalaf’s words are false, because the President does not interfere in such matters, nor is he concerned with approving or not approving the circulars of the Banque du Liban.
