The Supreme Pontiff, wished his visit to Lebanon be achieved.
 
Pope Francis raises his prayers to God to help President Aoun and political officials to work for the common good of Lebanon.
 
Supreme Pontiff, Pope Francis, emphasized that “Lebanon cannot lose its identity, nor the experience of brotherly living, which made this country a message to the whole world”.
The Pope also renewed his desire for a visit to Lebanon “And its beloved people” to be fulfilled, affirming his warm prayers over the intention of the Lebanese to preserve courage and hope, in the current ordeal which they are witnessing.
The words of the Supreme Pontiff came through a letter sent to President, General Michel Aoun, in which he thanked him for his congratulatory book on the occasion of the 8th year of Pope Francis’s pontificate.
Pope Francis also thanked President Aoun for the message which he had sent following his visit to Iraq, which included an official invitation to visit Lebanon.
In addition, the Supreme Pontiff raised his prayers for God to “Help President Aoun, and political officials, to work relentlessly for the common good in the land of the Cedars”.
“I entrust your dear nation to protect the Lady of Lebanon, asking the Prince of Peace to bless you and preserve Lebanon, and all its children” Pope Francis concluded.
