​MP Ibrahim Kanaan made a statement on the behalf of the parliamentary bloc of the Free Patriotic Movement: “We met His Excellency the President, General Michel Aoun. We consider this day as a historic day which greatly embodies the pact. We, in the FPM, dreamed a lot, struggled and took all the initiatives to reach that day, to make the encounter of the strong, the encounter of the true representatives of the people possible. Hence, and in line with the Constitution and the law, we will build together a State with all the blocs responsible for the Constitution and the Pact. We have nominated Saad Hariri to form the new government.”
