On the occasion of the passage of a week since the explosion crime which occurred in the Beirut port, the President of the Republic, General Michel Aoun, tweeted the following: “A week after the disaster, I renew my condolences to the grieving families, and my promise to all the suffering Lebanese is that I will not be quiet, nor will I rest, until all facts are clarified. Referring this crime  to the Judicial Council is only the first step for that”.

On the other hand, President Aoun signed this afternoon a decree referring the Beirut port explosion to the Judicial Council.​
