President Aoun: “We hope that Lebanon will regain its Arab and international presence”.
President of the Republic, General Michel Aoun, met caretaker Youth and Sports Minister, Mrs. Vartinee Ohanian, today at the Presidential Palace.
Minister Ohanian told the President that Lebanon will host the 30th Arab Scout Conference and the 5th Arab Scout Youth Forum, in 2022, stating that she will travel next Sunday to Cairo to participate in the conference which is convened for this purpose. Minister Ohanian will also receive the hosting of the conference from her Egyptian counterpart, Dr. Ashraf Sobhi. The handover will be attended by Assistant Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, Haifa Abou Ghazaleh.
The Youth Minister also asserted the importance of holding the Arab Scout Conference and Forum in Lebanon, pointing out that preparations will start soon to ensure good organization and everything which will achieve success of the conference.
For his part, President Aoun praised the event in Lebanon, expressing hope that Lebanon would “Regain Arab and international presence and emerge current difficult circumstances”.
